Ambrosia’s rise to fame might have been a bit unusual. Their name was meant to symbolize and represent their musicall shades, colors and styles. Their fusion of symphonic art rock and a produced pop sound caught the attention of a Los Angeles Philharmonic conductor who featured them in one of his concerts. Within a few years of that performance they had a record contract and two hit singles. Ambrosia achieved multi-platinum status with three #1 Billboard hits, two more would make it into the Top 10 and Top 20.
